QS RANKING 2025 : SCIENCES PO RANKED BEST EU UNIVERSITY IN ‘POLITICS’

Paris, 5 March 2025 - Sciences Po announces its participation in NextGenAI, a consortium that brings together leading academic institutions and OpenAI, in order to advance research in AI. NextGenAI’s founding partners are Harvard, Oxford, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Caltech, Howard, Duke, University of Michigan, University of Mississippi, Texas A&M University, University of Georgia, the California State University System, Ohio State University, Boston Children’s Hospital, Boston Public Library, Sciences Po and OpenAI. As part of this initiative, Sciences Po will conduct research to explore the impact of AI on the form and dynamics of online public debates. This project is a three-year experiment whose outcomes will be measured. In line with its vision of the ethical development of AI, Sciences Po has ensured that this partnership respects these fundamental principles:  The principles of the Statement on Inclusive and Sustainable Artificial Intelligence for People and the Planet resulting from the AI Action Summit held on 10 and 11 February in Paris. These principles advocate for an AI of general interest that is open, inclusive, sustainable, ethical and responsible;  Compliance with all applicable national and European regulatory frameworks (including GDPR and the AI Act), particularly regarding data protection and intellectual property; The guarantee of academic autonomy and independence of research. “What future for international cooperation?” From 29 to 31 January 2025 - 75007 Paris Press accreditation at media@sciencespo.fr   Paris, 28 January 2025 - Driven by the ambition to understand our times in order to make a difference, Sciences Po has been training the men and women who will face the major challenges of tomorrow since 1872. Launched in 2016 by the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA), Sciences Po's School of International Affairs, which is one of the most prestigious in the world and welcomes more than 1,500 students of 110 different nationalities, the Youth and Leaders Summit is an international crossroads for meetings and debates for the leaders of today and tomorrow. For its 10th edition, entitled ‘What future for international cooperation?’, the summit will look at the challenges facing international cooperation and the changes needed over the next 25 years. The fourth Franco-German research prize will be given to exceptional scholars under 40 whose work contributes to solving the future challenges of Europe.   Berlin, 17 January 2025. European Union scholars are again invited to submit their works from the social sciences for the Henrik Enderlein Prize. The research prize in honour of the Hertie School’s late President is aimed at young researchers under 40 whose work exhibits scholarly excellence and a practical contribution to public debate on the future of Europe. It is endowed with 10,000 euros in total and was first awarded in 2022. Applications will be accepted until 28 February 2025. The Henrik Enderlein Prize is jointly awarded by the Hertie School, Sciences Po, the German Federal Foreign Office and the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. The final winner will be chosen by an international Jury chaired by Hertie School President Cornelia Woll. This year’s winner will be recognised during a festive event in Paris this summer.   Past winners of the prize include political economist and sociologist Alexandros Kentikelenis (Bocconi University), political scientist Filip Kostelka (European University Institute) and legal scholar Vladislava Stoyanova (Lund University).
