QS WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKING 2022 : SCIENCES PO RANKS 3RD FOR “POLITICAL SCIENCE AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES”
Paris, 13 April 2022 - Sciences Po remains one of the 3 top worldwide universities in the social sciences : in the 2022 QS World University Rankings by subject, it is ranking 3rd in "Politics & International Studies" for the second year. In this world ranking released on Avril 6, 2022, Sciences Po is positioned just behind Harvard University and Oxford. It is ahead of the London School of Economics and Political Studies, Princeton University, Stanford University and University of Cambridge.
Moreover, Sciences Po is the first university of continental Europe in this discipline, a position it has held for the past seven years.
For the past nine years the QS World University Rankings by subject, which compares more than 1,500 universities around the world, has confirmed Sciences Po as a leading university in the social sciences.
In 2022, Sciences Po ranks in the top 50 worldwide in 4 disciplines:
● 3rd in the world in Politics and International Studies (2nd in 2021)
● 20th in Social Policy and Administration (up from 21st in 2021)
● 31st in Sociology (30th in 2021)
● 34th in Development Studies (39th in 2021)
Sciences Po made significant progress in Economics and Econometrics where the institution ranked 82nd globally.
In France, Sciences Po ranked first in Social Policy and Administration, Sociology and Development Studies: it is second domestically in Law and in Development Studies and 4th in Economics/Econometrics and history.
